a small kitchen with a long memory for favorites
redhen bakes started the way most good kitchens do — with one cake, for one person, on a day that mattered. Word travelled the way it does in a neighborhood, and over time, I allowed myself to dream big and do what I love — bake for you.
Everything is baked to order in Brooklyn, in small batches, by hand. I keep the flavor list short so each one is genuinely worth ordering, and I keep the calendar short so every cake gets the attention it needs.
I'm not trying to be the biggest bakery in the borough. I am trying to be the one you come back to for the next celebration, and the one after that.
